A Story of Women of Balochistan province of Pakistan

Your physical weakness isn't a barrier for your visions and missions to get your desired goal.

A hardworking women of (5foot 3inch) Balochistan province of Pakistan named Shazia Anwar Jan is one of prize holder of World Bank in the honor of his art in the industry of Oil Painting and Dress designing in Balochistan.

Miss Shazia Anwar Jan belongs to Christianity. She didn't feel her physical weakness of short height (5foot 3inc) as barrier in her art. She started leaning Oil Painting and made it the way of earning for her family. Shazia got expert in Oil Painting, dress designing and sewing clothes of modern designs. She participates in local Non-Government Organization's exhibitions and as well as in nationwide competitions. She participates in a competition held in Karachi and got position. She participated in another exhibition in Islamabad and had been awarded by World Bank in honor of her art and hardworking in the industry of Oil Painting.

Miss. Shazia was born 26 June 1973. She studied at local school in tribal areas of Balochistan province and passed her matriculation examination in 1979. She wished to study further but can't due to her family's financial problems. Her father died when she was a child. Her mother was a Government servant but she had retired and now Shazia has to afford burden of her family expanses. She has 6 sisters and 2 brothers and she wants that her brothers and sisters should continue their studies therefore, she decided to start her art of Oil Painting as her profession. She got knowledge regularly from famous Television's programmes and shows about Oil Painting and practiced at home to become expert in this field. Her mother and sisters motivated her in her hard workings.

She started her art seriously and designed Oil Painting on clothes, Mehndi Plates (A temporary decoration for skins), beautiful candles and some other awesome decorating pieces for parties, marriages as well as for Christmas occasions for her neighbors. Her art was being appraised by others women and then she started to expand her art more widely. Non-Government Organizations promote and marketed her products in different markets of Balochistan and in little time she get high response from market and her demand increased day by day.

In short, our physical weakness isn't a barrier in identifying opportunities and implementing strategies to get a desired goals. Miss Shazia is a real world symbol for those women of tribal areas of Pakistan who have no independence or a little in order to promote their arts and abilities in development of Women in the world
