Transformers: Dark of the Moon
Movie was released on 1st July 2011.
Story:
This is the third series of the remake of the famous cartoon sees Shia LaBeouf Backing with the Auto-bots to clash with the trickery, this time to see who makes it to a Cybertronian ship that landed on the Moon. Whoever arrives at the craft first will have the upper hand in the crucial battle for both mankind and robot-kind alike.



Cowboys and Aliens
Movie was released on 12th August 2011.
Story:
This extraordinary combination of two increasingly popular genres pits Daniel Craig and a rag-tag posse led by Harrison Ford against an alien foe that is set on the destruction of Earth. The front-line of this sci-fi western is the desert of the American Mid-West as Smith and Wessons go up against laser guns in what is tipped to be the film of the year.

Battle: Los Angeles
Movie was released on 11th March 2011.
Story:
This movie is about sci-fi epic pits Aaron Eckhart and his platoon of marines against an outer space enemy laying siege to Los Angeles. The film focuses on the handful of soldiers as they merge their way through the ruined buildings and smoldering wreckage to try and fight their indefinable yet powerful enemy. The film is said to be a cross between Independence Day and Black Hawk Down, with gritty, hand-held cameras used to try and give it a more realistic feel.

 
THOR
Movie was released on 6th May 2011.
Story:
This movie is a fantastic movie, story is very much nice. Thor, the God of Thunder, is cast out of the realm of Asgard for being conceited and banished to the realm of mankind as penalty. Once on earth, his immense power soon comes to the fold as his fellow Gods look to wipe out humanity.





The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1
Movie was released on 18th November 2011.
Story:
This fourth film in the fantasy Series of sees the esoteric Volturi and Quileute close in on Edward and Bella as they expect their child. Both the Vampire coven and the wolf pack see the unborn child as a danger, which could lead to horrifying consequences.




The Hangover 2
Movie was released on 26th May 2011.
Story:
Story of movie is fantastic. The antics from the first film are given an exotic turn as Phil, Stu, Alan and Doug travel to Bangkok for Stu’s wedding. Far from an ordinary trip, soon the quartet strives to surpass their drink-fuelled larks in Las Vegas.










Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Movie was released on 20th May 2011.
Story:
All aboard as Jack Sparrow and Barbossa embark on a quest to find the fountain of youth but are unaware that Blackbeard and his daughter too seek the elixir of life. Orlando Bloom is conspicuous by his absence in this film, but the star power is not lost as Penelope Cruz steps into the fold.










Rango
Movie was released on 4th March 2011
Story:
This animated adventure sees Rango, a chameleon voiced by Johnny Depp, accidentally wind up in the lawless town of Dirt in the Wild West. Capers ensue as the townsfolk desperately look for a new sheriff to restore the peace to the troubled town.


 
I Am Number Four
Movie was released on 23rd February
Story:
John, played by Alex Pettyfer (Beastly and Alex Rider: Stormbreaker), is a teen with special powers that tries to fit into normal high school life. Pursued by a deadly force bent on his destruction, he struggles to contain his secret. Three of his kind have been killed all ready, he is number four.




Limitless
Movie was released on 23rd March 2011

Story:
A stressed-out copywriter is ambling through life without any passion or drive until one day a chance encounter introduces him to a top-secret experimental drug. After taking it, he unlocks the true potential of the human mind, but there is a price to be paid as he soon discovers.

TOP 10 Bollywood Movies (2011)

Here is the List of Top 10 Bollywood Movies according to its earning business and commercial views.

1. Ra.One
This is the second time that Shahrukh Khan has dared to venture with a ‘different subject’ under his own production label after Asoka. With Ra.One, Shahrukh Khan went berserk with the marketing and promotion of the movie but didn’t manage to ring in the cash registers as much as expected. But the film gets a place in this list because even if the movie was below expectation, it did tremendous amount of business, especially outside India!



2. Bodyguard
After Dabangg in 2010 and Wanted in 2009, Salman Khan has been expected to dole out hits one after the other and surprisingly so, in the same genre of action packed films. Bodyguard did not create the same waves in terms of monies as Khan’s previous blockbusters, but it received a mega domestic opening of Rs. 22 crore on the very first days.


3. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
‘I Need Spain’ – the tourism campaign of Spain worked wonders with ZNMD being shot in the most serenading landscapes of the country. Although the movie had striking resemblance to the slice of life style and humor that was seen in Farhan Akhtar’s Dil Chahta Hai, his sister Zoya managed to hold her won with a well scripted film about love, life, relationships and bachelorhood that grossed an approximate of Rs. 52.5 crores worldwide in the very first weekend of release.



4. The Dirty Picture
After the revolutionary low budget ‘indie’ movie Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, ALT Entertainment has churned out yet another niche, low budget movie that has more than just tickled the masses. While Vidya Balan portrayed the oomph and the character of Silk Smitha, Ekta Kapoor once again managed to get the moolah flowing with a gross collection of Rs. 20.32 crore at the box office in India alone.



5. Ready
This romantic comedy drama of mistaken identity set mostly in Thailand has yet again swooned Salman Khan fans. The movie may not have had the freshness of character as seen with Chulbul Pandey in Dabanng, but the film did manage to get a domestic weekend gross of 40.5 crore.




6. Singham
Singham Top 10 Bollywood films of 2011 [Commercial Success]If you like dialogue-baazi, preposterous amounts of action and worship-worthy heroism in Hindi movies, Singham is the movie you should see. Rohit Shetty made a great move to drift into a completely different subject after his rom-com trilogy of Golmaal. Singham found its takers in the B centres of India and grossed an approximate of Rs. 44.2 crores in the opening weekend in India.


7. Murder 2
One more sensuous product from the Bhatt camp, Murder 2 banked on Emraan Hashmi and a great musical score to pull crowds to the multiplexes. Screams twists in the story, a sexy item number and an oomph-oozing Jacqueline Fernandez made the right combination to help the movie gross an approximate of Rs. 35 crore in its opening weekend.


8. Delhi Belly
Aamir Khan once again proved that he is the Midas King and whatever he touches becomes gold. Delhi Belly was quit a risk for him as a producer as it had fairly new actors (except Imran Khan) and risqué language. Shot in a style that exposed the underbelly of Delhi, the film tickled the ribs of the masses at the right spots and grossed an approximate of Rs. 26.4 crore over the opening weekend.

9. Rockstar
When Imtiaz Ali makes a movie, he is expected to create ripples both at the BO and with the critics. Rockstar was declared a ‘semi-hit’ but brought in great amounts of accolades for Ranbir Kapoor. From playing a college boy, a passionate lover and a destructive musician, Rockstar gave Kapoor many roles in one movie to dabble with. its Gross earning is 92 Crore approximately.


10. Don 2
Hitting cinemas across India on the 25th December, 2011 Shahrukh Khan is ready to be seen in the credit list of the Actor as well as the Producer for Don 2. Shot mostly in Berlin, Akhtar plans to take this chase story one level ahead with more CG, more technical spectacle and chutzpah. This mega movie is expected to close the year with great collection that only time will tell. But Don 2 is definitely a movie well worthy of being in this list. It is also a movie which is made with a budget of 75 Crore and is expected to earn over 100 crore at box
